You are a freak, yes you are. But then again my sweet tooth does consume more of my life than yours, perhaps. Just about everything I need in my life requires sweetening, and the few exceptions that don't are just particularly pleasant experiences.

Different strokes, I guess. :3

Well, I don't know; I've actually had generally quite good experience with the fruit infusions, so it's rarely a :|-fest -- that's mostly just the case with the one I reviewed so far. Some of the others rate much, much higher in my book, and stand pretty well on their own without needing sweeteners. :3

Wellllll bah to you, good sir. Still, I would recommend getting some for the fruit infusions, since the sweetness pretty much has the ability to change a dull :|-worthy meh-fest into something actually quite tasty.

Also, upon drinking about five mugs of nettle tea last night, I just don't see the issue. Then again, as Poul just so helpfully pointed out, if it's got 'tea' in the name, then I'll like it.

Well, I don't know; I'm of the opinion that even if such a thing could improve the flavour of some given brews, there has to be fundamentally something to like in the first place. In other words, given that it turns out I despise the flavour of nettles, even with the aforementioned nectar, I'd still be drinking nettles -- so even if the edge was taken off, the flavour would nontheless be something I find distasteful.

I really want to know if you've been drinking the same nettle tea as me, though it's clear you haven't, since my preferred herbal brand Dr. Stuart's has been my mainstay for a lengthy time.

And in fairness to your review, I find nettle tea unpalatable unless sweetened with a good honey or my recent favoured acquisition, agave nectar. I believe this is why I was telling you -albeit through Pika- to get some. For the fruit teas, it certainly brings out a lot of the better flavours, rather than just sweetening them like sugar does.

So I would actually recommend getting a hold on some GOOD honey (not cheap Rowse blend, that stuff is acrid and gag-worthy), or agave nectar, and just put a little bit in if you're unsure of the taste without sweetening. And don't give me that "I'm too manly" silliness. ;3

(Also, I drink my nettle tea with about two heaped teaspoons of honey. This would probably explain why I like it, because all I can really taste is honey.)
