June 16th, 2011: About This Blog

Welcome to the lair of Tom Simmons, also known as Gravecat: Paranoid, neurotic, misanthropic, pessimistic, cynical, eloquent, apathetic, quixotic, and would-be future creator of the world’s largest paperclip sculpture. My goals in life include world domination, buying a really cool hat, and figuring out a way to travel back in time in order to warn myself to not eat that potato salad. 30 years of age but still falsely clinging to the “20-something” moniker, living alone save for an extended family of dust bunnies, and to top it off, I’m a deranged, filthy member of the disturbed internet-based phenomenon known as “furries”.

In short, I’m pretty much like any other guy you’re likely to meet on the internet.

I like video games, sci-fi and action movies, electronics, programming, photography, philosophy, mathematics, cats, clove cigarettes, industrial music and power metal, green tea, ninjas, salted peanuts, chicks with glasses, and just about anything from the 80s (with the notable exceptions of the fashion and hairstyles). I dislike children, dogs, hot weather, crowded places, ice, death, blatant stupidity, and pretty much the entire decade of the 90s. Yes, all of it. Everything. Every last sordid part.

This blog is somewhat of a conglomerate — a smörgåsbord, if you will — of my various interests, rants, ramblings, and general thoughts on life in general. In the past, I’ve attempted to make more specific, themed blogs, but my constantly-shifting focus and esoteric interests made such an endeavour impractical at best. So here you have it, a summary of all that is me, a medley of interests under an arrogantly self-titled blog.
